Since 1984, The Mystic River Chorale, an independent, not-for-profit community chorus, has gathered talented people from eastern Connecticut to western Rhode Island to raise their voices in song.

Presenting a mixture of major choral masterworks with full orchestra and a wide variety of serious and lighter music for chorus alone, the Chorale's concerts attract both young and old, classical and modern music fans alike.

Our Artistic Director, Frank Martignetti, has been praised for his ability to help singers from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels grow their vocal and musical talents. Under his direction the Chorale has been able to create memorable choral per-formances for audience and singers alike while enjoying the process at the same time.

Farewell Leslie Merwin

Over the past two years, the Mystic River Chorale was very fortunate to work with our stellar accompanist and stand-in director, Leslie Merwin. Unfortunately, due to a work related move, she is unable to make the trek down to our neck of the woods. Her top-notch musical ability, quick sense of humor, and legendary patience will be greatly missed. Thank you, Leslie, for sharing your many talents with us!

Welcome Frank Zinilyi

Before the end of our Fall semester, members of the Chorale had the opportunity to hear and work with our newest accompanist, Frank Zilinyi.

In 2007, Frank won first prize in the Agnes Fowler Organ Competition.
Since his graduation from the Oberlin Conservatory in 2008, Frank has been an active concert artist, performing at the organ and in chamber ensembles throughout the United States and Germany. We are look forward to an exciting season of geat music-making with Frank.
